For those of you opting to take the final exam, I am attaching a study guide for the test. Details on the logistics of the test will be handled in private communication. I will hold a zoom session on Wednesday and Thursday at 11 AM for reviewing and reading practice and I will post the answers to the study guide on Friday. Study Guide Salvete Discipuli
Per the district policy, you are entitled to a Final Exam if you want one. It would count as 15% of your total grade and it would be given during this coming week or the first two days of next week. Over the next two days, I'd like you to watch the movie linked below. It is nearly an hour, so break it into chunks if you need to. As you know, the characters in our story live in the city of Pompeii, which is most famous for its destruction in the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. The video here does a fantastic job of putting you in the mindset of someone experiencing that eruption. I have a puzzle for you today! Please look back to Stage 7 vocabulary and complete the following crossword. Here it is online. And here it is on paper. Take a picture or a screenshot of your completed puzzle and share it here. Then go to crosswordlabs.com and make a puzzle of your own using THEMATIC vocabulary from one of our topics this year. It can be gladiators, baths, theater, house, whatever. And send a link to the puzzle on the submission page. And finally, for a little bit of silliness, take a look at this bit of poetry.
